Everybody wants own place under the sun

We are living in a strange world multiplied by virtual reality: not just by shaping our personal bubble and filtering our attention, but also by creating our own personal spaces.

A personal space could mean different things – starting from your working desk, or a room design, or 100 pages of personal notebook. No matter what kind of place you shape for yourself, one of the hardest parts is to open it for others.

But opening yourself to others enrich us, help us to understand ourselves better. Quoting Sunrise Avenue’s beautiful song,

Welcome to my wonderland
It’ll take time to find out where we stand
In all this mess

We all need some time to create our own space in the world. But sometimes it’s way easier than we imagine, and the hardest step is just the first one. Because you need a courage to start and to accept whatever comes after.
So, with shaking soul and excited inner child screaming “wohoo!” I slide down the mountain and welcome you to my personal wonderland: now ideas’ crossroads got their own territory in the virtual world at ideascrossroads.com!

P.S. this WordPress blog will no longer be active, but if you go to ideascrossroads.com, you won’t even notice the difference :)

“If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world.”

~ C.S. Lewis

I would just add: GO, create this another world.
Who else if not you.

Why it is good to live in a bubble

It’s hard to keep being positive, inspired and full of energy. Especially in our age of information, when every single moment of our life is full of incoming bits from e-mails, news, messages, conversations etc.

Informational noise is one thing which I truly don’t like.
And what I try to do is to filter it.
But HOW to filter it? Read more>>>

Michel de Montaigne said:

A strong imagination begetteth opportunity.

If you could imagine whatever life you’d like to live, why not to use the opportunity to live LIFE which is full of LIFE?

V :: VIRUS :: make your idea contagious

Everything in Leadership starts with BIG IDEA.

I will repeat it as many times as I can because I think it’s essential.
If you are a leader you should have a stand, a vision, a big picture of the desired end state to inspire people to follow.

Most of the true followers stand by your side not because of you, not because of what you do, but because of why you do it. There is a big idea behind every extraordinary example of leadership, whether it’s a brand, an ideological theory or a movement.

And if you want to make it work,
your idea needs to be a virus.

You’ve probably seen this picture before. Same as many other thousands of pictures with nice inspiring or just wise words and quotes, social media made them easy to share and… almost useless.

For a long time I’ve been collecting pictures. It became a habit: once I see a picture I like, I immediately download it and store in my personal “library”. A special place in my “Library of meaningful beauty” is given to pictures with words. And I truly admire those people who manage to put together beautiful and meaningful, thus to create something new.

A simple tool to deal with uncertainty

If the books could be able to listen and speak, I would ask them, how do they know which moment exactly to show up in my life. Because they always do it in the most suitable time ever.

I recently read again a novel “Naiv. Super.” by Erlend Loe. I’ve read it several years ago and since than that book was collecting dust at my bookshelf. But suddenly now it caught my attention again. I believe nothing happens randomly when it comes to embodying ideas. And in fact books are the embodied ideas. As well as movies, poems, songs, sometimes pictures or even buildings.
